A beautiful day for me could be anything from a walk in the park, a nice conversation over a meal after a long day (a humorous one would be a very welcome bonus), or a date/ holiday somewhere nice where I finally have excuse to wear one of my (many) dresses for a change!
I am a lover of (all kinds of) good food, and I also like to cook and bake myself a bit. Incidentally, my father is a chef and my mother is a pastry chef. You could say our love for food runs in the family!
I love a good walk (anything from a walk to the nearest woodlands and country, a more ambitious hike somewhere up a steep crag or peak, as well as a walk to a gallery/ museum or a concert - be it in the UK or somewhere else). I love to ‘dress up’ (to a fault), I love to read, think, learn and explore new things, people and places.
Oh, and of course I love listening to music, and classical in particular holds a special place in my heart (it being however one of the many genres I enjoy!).

I happen to be in want of words at the time I decided to make this profile, but a quote by Victor Hugo crossed my mind as I was trying to think of something of my own to write. It will have to do (for now):
“The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved -- loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves.”
I could crop up a portrait of my ‘ideal’ kind of guy, and maybe I will later, but I am ultimately looking for love and to be loved in earnest, for -and quite often in spite of- myself. The same would go for my other half.
