About her
I'm a friendly, happy person, can be a bit shy initially, gsoh, reasonably fit, kind and caring, average-ish in looks and have a naughty-but-nice sense of humour when the mood takes me. I've been told I don't look my age nor act like it. I like to be around people but also need my own space. I like to cook and bake. I've been divorced once and widowed since 2008. Had one relationship since. I have a daughter who lives with me and 2 house cats and I lost my dog last year. First time in 25yrs I'm without a dog. My hobbies are playing the piano, I like to walk around gardens from village garden open days to national trust gardens. I have a passion for reading, a lot. I like all kinds of music but not punk. I like to go to concerts and theatres, museums, galleries, stately homes and gardens, basically anything that's not a theme park, holding hands would be nice.
I like to eat out sometimes but not keen on top fancy restaurants, I prefer pub restaurants or similar, a nice comfortable place to relax, talk and eat. I don't like lamb, venison, shellfish or red wine. I do like beef, pork, chicken and cod/haddock. My favourite food is chilli con carne.
I work 25 hrs a week but am looking to cut down soon. I'm an outdoors person, love most animals (but cows and goats from a distance lol). I would like to see more of this country, weekends away etc.
I'm looking for someone who is kind, caring and happy and who makes me smile. Someone who likes holding hands when we're out but equally can walk and chat without holding hands. I am not looking to be a replacement wife/carer and I don't want anyone who's needy. I just want someone who will make the effort to really get to know me, look after me and make me feel safe. Being independent doesn't mean I have to be alone. What I really want though is for someone to greet me with a beautiful smile and a lovely hug.
