About her
I always find these things hard to fill in… so I like classical music (obviously) and I am learning how to play the piano (grade 2). I am just finishing my MA in Creative Writing at Swansea and am hoping to start my PhD in January 2026 with the aim of becoming a lecturer upon its completion. I write mostly fantasy fiction, short stories, and poetry but I have dabbled with non-fiction and journalistic pieces as well.
I am also teaching myself Italian, French, Welsh, and Chess via Duolingo.
I moved to Wales from Hampshire (via Yorkshire) just before Covid and haven’t really been out exploring for various reasons so I’m looking initially for a companion to do things with that shares some of my interests.
I like walking and would like to start hiking and seeing more of this beautiful country but I also enjoy quiet nights in with a film or going out for food.
As for that if there is anything else you’d like to know just ask. I hope that has given you a good idea of who I am.

If you can make me laugh then we are off to a good start. I like someone who can hold a conversation on a variety of topics and isn’t afraid of an intellectual debate but I also like people who are comfortable with silence. Sitting and reading quietly together is just as important to me. I’m looking for someone who I can share my interests with while we both maintain separate hobbies and interests too. Being able to have time apart to do our own things helps keep a good balance.
