About him
I am an incurable Romantic and I crave excitement. For me the Romantic era in classical music was by far the most exciting, from Beethoven to Mahler (I would like to include Debussy). I am like a child when it comes to forms of transport: I like nothing better than hopping on a train or an aircraft and looking out of the window. And I am also a nature lover, especially of plants. I have musical training and used to play the cello and double bass. I also have a degree in physics.
I am very fussy about language and believe in accurate grammar when speaking or writing. I used to be an English teacher and I speak with Received Pronunciation.
About his ideal match
I would like to meet someone musical, well spoken and well educated. I would like them to enjoy travelling by rail and air and have an interest in other countries and cultures. I hope they will be kind to animals and appreciate plants. If they have a talent in architecture or interior design, that would be an added bonus.
