About him
I'm a quietly independent gentleman, comfortable in my own company and capable of living my life to the fullest. I don't sit and wait for things to happen or come to me, I go after them. I take advantage of opportunities that present themselves and in which I am interested. Privately educated, I retired early having enjoyed two very interesting careers. I am financially independent.
Divorced, I have no children. I have no pets, although I love horses.
I am a keen photographer and have a website. I enjoy music and have played the clarinet and saxophone to a basic standard. I enjoy listening to music such as jazz, classical, rock 'n' roll and other genres. I enjoy the theatre, cinema and live music. I have owned fantastic motorbikes and ridden in several countries. I have also learned to sail and ski. I can also dance.
I enjoy keeping fit and trim, play golf and have started playing padel and tennis. I also like to walk/hike. Other sporting interests include F1, Six Nations and other international rugby union matches and The Ashes series. A member of Goodwood I like to attend Revival, Festival Of Speed and the Members Meeting.
I enjoy laughter filled conversations, dancing and making spontaneous romantic gestures. I have a dry sense of humour.
I have been fortunate enough to live in a few foreign countries - Australia, the USA and Germany - and have visited such places as Egypt, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Madeira, Spain (where I also worked), Gibraltar, France and Madagascar.
I enjoy city breaks and stay in London for a few nights two or three times a year, visiting the theatre at least once. I travel to Rome each year, it being my favourite city and from there I organise away-days to other cities. Future plans include a safari through Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia to see the Okavango Delta, Japan, Vietnam, India, South America and a road/train trip across North America. I like to learn about the country I am visiting, and its culture/people by travelling around.

Beauty and attraction are in the eye of the beholder, but they go more than skin deep.
