About her
I enjoy a good laugh. I have a positive outlook on life although at times it can be hard to find the positive in a world that seems to be in such a state.
I have a very artistic background and I still draw and paint. I love medieval and gothic architecture and often use them as inspiration for my artwork. My claim to fame was designing a fabric to cover a piece of furniture for the late Queen. I used Holyrood Palace as inspiration for that project.
I love a trip to the theatre and cinema. I sing in a community choir and I have a very eclectic taste in music e.g. Classical, Motown, Northern Soul, Al Stewart, Harry Chapin, The Beatles to mention a few.
I have a great interest in local and Scottish history and I still work part-time doing a job I love and I enjoy meeting and chatting to people.
I'm a keen gardener and can be found outside in all weathers. I was an archaeologist in my younger days and I still love visiting places of historic interest, museums and art galleries. I would love to re visit Florence and other parts of Italy with the right company. I love driving long distances and I am very independent.
I'm not keen on TV soaps and I'm not a Strictly Come Dancing fan even though I went to ballet classes and danced for many years. I loved to dance and I still enjoy a theatre trip to see a ballet.
I've a wee bit political interest and I like to keep up with what is happening in the world and I enjoy chatting about current affairs.
I'm keen for new experiences, I'll try anything once. I'm a good listener and I enjoy being of help when I can. I'd love to travel more but it's not so much fun on your own.
