About him
I’m a Devon writer, happily divorced, twice, and I am, to be fair, enjoying the single life. But there’s a downside, particularly when this time of year comes round. I'm not looking for love - certainly not love - but companionship would be nice. I’m pretty well-adjusted, I think, although, to be honest, I do have a slight tendency towards paranoia. There's only one thing I lie about! I used to be very sporty - rugby, cricket, sailing - but these days it's walking and my rowing machine that keep me fit. I do read a lot. You should also know that politics are important to me and, whilst I have friendly acquaintances with many on the Left, my world view is to the Centre-Right. Photo on request.
About his ideal match
What is one's ideal match? Impossible to say and, since no one is perfect, challenging to even contemplate. It would be good, though, to find a woman who would be interested in occasional social events, theatre and cinema. A willingness to travel would be a bonus, although not essential. Since this is not a romantic proposal, age is unimportant. Neither is looks. It's worth saying, however, that an ability to engage in reasonably intelligent conversation is important and perhaps that's my only real demand! So, my hopes are modest, I think.
