About her
I am a family orientated individual. I have a positive outlook on life. I like to take reasonable care of myself both in terms of diet and exercise. I am a warm, caring, tactile person, who enjoys sharing life with a special person but I don’t tolerate fools or those who try to take advantage. I am quite down to earth and direct - some people may find that tricky but some people much prefer it - but I was born in Yorkshire! Strong minded, independent and intelligent.
I am a big wildlife/animal lover and love the outdoors and travelling, particularly wildlife holidays. I am keen on photography but very much an amateur and only take picture of wildlife and scenery. I also enjoy more general sightseeing holidays. I love experiencing different cultures and learning about their beliefs, ways of life, music …. Definately no beach holidays for me though. That’s not to say I can’t just relax over a coffee or cocktail for a while though.
More at home living in the country than the city but I love a city break and a night out at the Opera, Ronnie Scott’s or a concert. Music is a passion of mine. If you have no interest at all in classical music then sorry but there is no point contacting me.
I love walking hand in hand at the coast or in green spaces on the crisp, sunny or wet days, with or without a dog, when others aren’t around. Finding a great coffee and a good lunch and coming home to a lovely wood stove burner (with properly well seasoned wood of course - I care about the environment), a glass of Prosecco and curling up on the sofa would be a pretty fabulous day.
I have also been involved in voluntary work over recent years and is 1 reason I chose to retire early. My main areas of interest are child protection and animal welfare.

My ideal match would be a family loving man who enjoys sharing life with a special person. Confident but not arrogant, intelligent but not superior, and not threatened by a strong, intelligent modern woman. Must be financially independent.
Preferably someone who looks after themselves reasonably well (diet & exercise) and someone with a “glass half full” attitude to life.
Ideal matching interests would be music - primarily (but not exclusively) with a classical focus and also worldwide travel / wildlife and nature. Someone with a respectful interest in other cultures around the world.
Someone who can enjoy a night out at a classical music event or a day wildlife watching or in a bird hide would be perfect !
Ideally you would also enjoy cinema and theatre trips, eating out, walking and have an interest in world events.
My ideal partner would share my interests but also have some of their own. I’m not a needy individual but I do love quality “couple” time built into the week every now and again.
