My friends tease me that I’m a typical Gemini: I enjoy opposites. Sometimes I’m all about unhurried conversation and stillness; at other times I’m drawn to movement, curiosity, and going places. I’m told I smile too much to look serious, which is probably fair.
By nature, I’m thoughtful, calm, and quietly curious. Friends would probably describe me as kind, reliable, and a good listener. I enjoy conversation, culture, and time shared without rush — a walk that turns into a long conversation, or a coffee that lasts longer than planned. I value depth, humour, and genuine connection more than noise, and I like the quiet ease that grows when two people feel comfortable together.
I’m happiest around culture and the arts: theatre, concerts, classical music and jazz, musicals (a definite weakness), plays, ballet (yes, white tights 🙂), modern dance, and opera — as well as galleries and museums. I also enjoy restaurants and pubs, swimming in the Mediterranean, long walks (the Lake District is a favourite), wandering through cities, visiting parks, and gardening when I’m at home.
I’m very much a one-to-one person rather than a party animal — shy in my own way — but I’m also energetic and not particularly good at sitting still. On holiday I’m usually the one moving: beach to museum, then cycling somewhere new while others take a break. Sometimes the day ends after dinner with some salsa or merengue.
I enjoy culture and movement, but at the end of it all I’m happiest simply being next to my man — close, relaxed, sharing space.
