About her
I’m comfortable in my own skin and a positive person but looking for companionship and even better, romance, as I’m fed up of doing everything on my own.
I’m a good cook and love entertaining, gardening, walking the dog, playing golf and looking after the fields for my daughter’s horses, so I’m an outside person. I am a member of NT, RSPB, RHS, English Heritage and four wildlife trusts. Other past times include reading and playing cards and board games.
I’m easy going, caring, sensitive and a good listener.
I lived in and around Sheffield for 40 years and only moved to be near my daughter when I was widowed. I’m very lucky as I see my wonderful step family every week and what is also great is that my daughter and her family subsequently moved to be just down the road from my ‘new’ house. It’s brilliant: I look after each of my two granddaughters once a week and I love watching them growing up- one will soon be eleven and the other is two.
The highlight of my year is to travel to a new and increasingly far flung country, so I’m just back from Ecuador.
In the past I’ve enjoyed hiking, camping, skiing, tennis and squash.
A walk ending in a nice pub with a companion by my side would be magical- the dog is great company but the conversation is a little one sided.
It would be lovely to have someone to hold my hand, to share and enjoy future adventures together wherever our travels may lead.

He should be honest and caring and looking for someone special in his life to make days out, an evening at the theatre or in a restaurant and holidays here or abroad much more enjoyable. An interest in sport and classical music would be brilliant. I’m hoping that there could be that spark of chemistry between us and that a sensual, loving, long term relationship would develop.
