About him
I am a fairly quiet, unadventurous, somewhat bookish 'stay-at-home' person, who likes reading, listening to classical music and researching local history. At present, I am trying to publish a book I have written detailing the history of a rural school and the community it served, and I have been toying with the idea of writing a few short stories.
I take little or no interest in politics or current affairs, preferring to avoid the grief and anger caused by seeing the wrong people winning and the right people letting me down.
I'm not a fan of going to concerts or the theatre, or for anything approaching an activity holiday, much preferring to stroll around the area where I live, ideally with a companion.

While I admit to not having a dynamic personality, or the looks of a pin-up boy, I still entertain the idea that I might encounter a cheerful, genuine and unassertive lady (not obsessed with the idea that travel is everything) who is able to see beneath the surface and find something of value to her.
