People who know me describe me as Kind, Compassionate, Trustworthy, Sociable and Empathetic. I care about our Humanity and the state of our Global Environment. I like to Laugh, (sometimes, at myself). And I believe in Live and Let Live. Overall, I am broad-minded, adaptable, with a positive outlook on life's surprises. Can be found either, in my Wellies on a muddy, rainy day, or smartly dressed for special occasions. My profile photos were taken in Autumn 2025.
Semi-retired, I only work on ad hoc basis in the Public Sector to keep the old brain ticking, so, my time is my own.
Likes: I like most things, such as the Theatre, Vintage Architecture, Gardening, Farmer's Markets, a diverse genre of Music - Classical, Blues, Jazz, Folk, Country & Western etc... I love Nature, Animals (dogs and farm animals although I do not yet own any pets). I like some International Travel to far-away-lands, short day and/or weekend breaks. I am a Reader and loves reading Fiction, non fiction and Ancient History. I enjoy a variety of sports and plays some social Tennis at my local club, Cricket, Athletics, etc...
It would be most delightful to align with a potential Spouse who desires a long-term committed relationship with mutual interests and enjoyment in the next chapter of our Twilight years.

My ideal match? Yes! I know he's out there. Because he has read my profile thus far. So, what are we waiting for!.
Essentially, I desire a Kind, Respectful, Considerate, Genuine, Intentional, Honest, Gentleman who knows what / who he needs in his life. We all want different things and rightly so. However, in my view, a need is a more permanent state of affairs. Needing another does not necessarily mean being needy. Obviously, we all have our unique considerations that needs to be met, with some quiet time alone. For example, one might have good friends, family, or may be, none. Yet, one needs a suitable (Other) to share those aspects of ones' life that can only be met by that very Special person. That is, perhaps, one of the various reasons we are all here?
My ideal gentleman would be fairly active, broad-minded, non-judgemental, Emotionally intelligent, Culturally interested and able to share Mutual travel to joint places of interest e.g. Africa.
Deal breakers are: Dishonesty, Disrespect, Abuse of any kind, Racism - all the negatives. We all have our peculiar prejudices. Please, one must keep all such negativities close to ones chest, ensuring unsuccessfully they never manifest.
