I have always been told I am a warm, approachable, fun person, who is open and welcoming. I really enjoy meeting and getting to know a wide range of people from all walks of life.
I am good and enjoy organising and arranging social interactions, and gettting together with friends and family.
I really enjoy sharing experiences, whether it's a walk in the countryside, visiting a garden or stately home, a night in the theatre, a swim in the sea, or a relaxing meal at home, or top cuisine at a busy restuarant. And you can't beat the dancing the night away every now and then!
I LOVE being by the sea.... or any water, but am not great at lying on a sunbed for hours. Give me a beach, a rock pool and bodyboard and I'm at my happiest. I do enjoy cold water swimming - but am not hardcore about it!
I love cooking, entertaining, and have a warm loving family, who I often spend time with, As a family we also approach the world with an open mind and open door.
I have three fabulous children - two older with my gorgeous new-ish grandchildren. My youngest is just finishing Uni and off to start his adventures in life and conservation around the world.
I enjoy a wide range of hobbies and activities - particularly cooking and entertaining , gardening, music/festivals, travelling and exploring different places and cultures. I enjoy the theatre, ballet, art and exhibitions of many styles and types.
I personally enjoy my crafts - silver smithing, crochet, textiles and am usually up for trying a new craft!
I read a wide range of genres, but would not describe myself as a real bibliophile - I read for pleasure and entertainment.
I enjoy walking and have walked a good part of the Camino de Santiago and harbour a desire to walk the route from Porto to Santiago one day.
I think my outlook on life is usually positive and whilst I love being with others, I do value time on my own too. I would hope those who know me, would say I was always there for anyone who needed a friend...and a good laugh!
