About him
I generally have an easy-going approach to life and will tend to see the lighter side of things. I like to think that I've got a good sense of humour ( though my daughters and some friends would disagree with this statement). I still actively participate in tennis to a reasonable club level and In the recent past I did enjoy fell-walking (and have often fell walking). These days I prefer gentler inclines, so mishaps are now more of a stumble than a fall. I have a strong interest in most types of sport and the remainder of my leisure time is taken up with dining out, theatre and classical concerts. A liking for good beer often leads an evening in the pub socialising with friends with discussions revolving around politics and football.

I would like a partner to be open-minded, flexible and independent. An ability to tolerate (or humour) my humour would be a big plus. Travel has always appealed to me and I would like a companion who would share my love of city breaks that embrace the customs and cuisines of the locals as well as sites of historical interests. Sharing my likes and interests is not a pre-requisite as I think that opposites can be attractive.
