About him
I worked in the agricultural industry as a
farm inspector, very enjoyable but the time was right to retire early and enjoy life!
I revel in the outdoor life - birding,
exploring, walking, self sufficiency and
gardening.
I do have a conflict of interests though ....
very eco/conservation minded but have
petrol running through my veins as I love
cars (particularly classic/sports).
A bit of a maverick maybe, don't like things too conventional but would like to think I
have a caring disposition.
My idea of fun would be wrapping up on a cold winter's night walking in the
countryside, my path illuminated only by
the moon & stars, the silence being broken by the occasional wild animal.
I'm indecisive on another passion, my
favourite location....either the Scilly Isles or the Outer Hebrides, I just can't decide
which of the two extremes!
I do like sentimentality & nostalgia and was thinking along the lines of a treasured
possession One thing that's pretty special
to me is my Tortoise, I've had him since I
was nine so that's over 52 years!
Now whether I could live without him.....
that's a tricky one!
Like to keep fit, although I've gone soft this winter. Normally out biking irrespective of
the day time temperature but of late I've
acquired an indoor trainer. Time is now
spent on that in the winter with the luxury of 'catch up' television on the screen in
front of me!
My 'match' would be someone who is
appreciative of the countryside, enjoys
walking there and in awe at it's beauty!
With this they would be passionate about
caring for the wider world and have
good green credentials!
