I’m the kind of person who’ll make you laugh on the way to a concert and then quietly watching the sad movie. I’m in my 40s and finally comfortable enough in my own skin to admit I have strong opinions about interval drinks, terrible taste in interval snacks, and a genuinely good heart. I enjoy listening to a wide range of music styles, whether it’s relaxing to classical, or reminiscing to 80s pop and glam rock. I also enjoy a good pub, a terrible film, and a long walk somewhere with a decent view. I like to try and keep in shape too. I’m looking for someone real - someone who gets that life can be both beautifully serious and gloriously ridiculous.

The qualities that matter most to me are simple but not always easy to find — a genuine sense of humour, the kind of curiosity that makes every conversation interesting, and real kindness. Not performative kindness. The quiet, everyday sort that shows up in how you treat people.
For me a relationship works when two people can talk properly, laugh often, and also be perfectly comfortable doing their own thing. I'm not looking for someone to be joined at the hip with - I want someone with her own life who wants to weave it together with mine.
As for what we'd actually do together — I'm imagining weekend walks somewhere beautiful, spontaneous trips to places neither of us has been, trying restaurants we probably can't pronounce, and plenty of evenings on the sofa pretending we're going to watch one episode and then watching six!
