About him
I'm a divorced Englishman, recently retired from the UK Government sector. It would be great to find a compatible lady to live the golden years with. Someone who enjoys conversation, good dining at the many country pubs around Peterborough. Ideally, you will like the idea of maybe doing some of the UK long distance walks, something I've been planning for a while (If you have any of the Wainwright books, you'll know what I mean)
My life now is more comfortable than ever, and I could just bimble along like this forever, however, there is a big world to see out there, and I'd like to settle down with someone lovely with whom to explore the UK and abroad together.
I should say also that beliefs matter; I attend church a couple of times a month, and politically would be best described as centre-right. We should all be part of open, respectful debates that honor differing opinions
I’ve come to realise that I need someone geographically close; long distance relationships are not for me. So, while there are many gorgeous women here, I’m trying to be sensible with regards to distance. Also, I’m only seeking an age-appropriate lady, so will not make the foolhardy mistake of thinking that I have anything to offer a younger woman. (An older lady is fine however!)
Finally, if I don’t respond to you, it’s simply that I do not feel we are a match and want to avoid wasting anyone’s time - we are all getting older and I’m focusing on finding the ‘right’ lady for me.

An ideal match will be someone mature, probably 65+. An elegant, refined older lady who might enjoy dinner dates, and evenings out. You will be independently minded, not in need, but like me, wish to find new friends.
Someone who does not seek conflict; I cannot remember the last time I fell out or had an argument with anyone, and I’d be very compatible with a similarly relaxed partner.
I'm completely open to the idea of finding that ideal person to settle with, an 'other half' if you like.
