About him
I like being outdoors with friends, the local beach is on my doorstep it has been my favourite spot over the summer. It would be great to spend some time down there with someone special.
I'm semi-retired and self-employed, I work a couple of hours from home per day and spend a lot of my time doing up my old house. I listen to Absolute 80's, Classic FM or Smooth while I'm working on my house, I'm progressing but I'd like it to go quicker. Eventually I'll get around to doing the garden and looking after it, I like gardening.
I'm a Sunderland season ticket holder and go to all the home games, I listen to the away games on the radio or watch them in the pub.
Friends would describe me as loyal, supportive, determined, generous, intelligent and smart, honest, hopelessly romantic and can be a good laugh after a couple of pints.
I like walking, going for a sauna and swim and playing table tennis. I don't watch much telly, if I do then it's usually a film, a nature programme, a documentary or quiz show.
I come from the area but spent most of my life in London and have lived overseas, I really could do with some more connections here.

My ideal match would keep fit, eat healthily, enjoy walking and having lunch, dinner and drinks out plus visits to the cinema. I'd like a partner with a broad outlook on life. I'd like to think I'm a doer rather than an analyzer, I like doers.
I've done a lot of overseas travel and fine-dining over the years and I've drank more good wine than is good for me. My aspirations now are to find someone with whom I can connect, to enjoy some dates and have a laugh.
Later I'd like to spend quality time together, perhaps walking the beaches and countryside in the region, going to the cinema, visiting art galleries, touring parts of the UK I've never seen and if it'll score me enough brownie points being persuaded to go to the occasional theatre show, (I'm happy at gigs and stand-up and would try opera and ballet - anything else please go with a friend), plus the occasional overseas holiday. I’d be open to trying all sorts of activities together.
I'd like to spend the rest of my life with someone who enjoys these things with me, is close, easy company and reliable.
