About her
I'm kind, caring and thoughtful, an introvert, though not excessively so, and a loyal friend. I value affection and integrity.
The elephant in the room is that I was diagnosed with MS some 40 years ago. I have raised two children both now working in their chosen professions. My career in heritage was bookended by the British Museum and the National Trust. I love retirement and volunteering in people-focused charities, one local, Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, and one national, the adult literacy charity Read Easy.
No longer able to go yomping, my preference is a gentle stroll and a picnic or a museum or other source of culture. I have a limp and walk with a stick on rough ground (though prefer a friendly arm). Most of all, I enjoy exploring the countryside, finding ancient churches and old houses and gardens, interesting pubs and good tea and coffee shops.
At home, I relax happily with good friends, just chilling with stimulating conversation or a good book. I look after a kitchen garden, though not very successfully this year, or do some wood turning.
I'm flexible, essentially curious about life and open to spontaneity. I have an extremely positive outlook on life and am environmentally aware.I would love to share your hobbies...
