About him
Hi, good morning to you.
I don't think many people happily come onto a site like this. I would be very nervous about the motivation of people who did. I think most of us are reluctantly here because of speed bumps in life.
I am still working full time - not so much out of necessity but simply because I enjoy my job. Well most of the time anyway.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my 18 year old daughter, and I'm presently teaching her to drive. I don't currently have any pets but I like dogs, correction - I love dogs. And indeed most animals. Crocodiles and Komodo Dragons push the envelope a bit though... and snakes. In fact, I'll rephrase things, I like all animals but not reptiles...
I like any and all history, I am interested in law and I am particularly interested in current affairs. If I said that we are living in Orwellian times that might chime with a like minded soul.
I also like car boot sales, art and craft centres, kayaking, pub quizzes, scuba diving, archery, DIY, building, going to the gym, reading, you tube, anything off-grid related, giving massages, etc etc.
In fact I like doing most things and will give anything a go at least once.
I've got a fair bit of a sense of adventure and am regarded as a good bloke to have around in an emergency. People at work say you can always tell when I'm around because you can hear laughing.
I’m not claiming to be perfect, who is? But hopefully I’ll be perfect for somebody, maybe you?
About his ideal match
It's going to be very cliched and predictable but I would like to meet somebody who has a sense of humour, sense of fun and adventure, loyalty, kindness. A little bit off beat and unconventional.
I guess this list of 'wants' isn't very original but it seems a reasonable place to start.
To be honest, people can make lists of desirable qualities until the cows come home but they all fall by the wayside if you just 'click' with someone.
Ideally I would like to find someone local, but I am realistic enough to work out that options in Devon might be limited...
Oh, if you are moved by the Johnny Nash song, 'I can see clearly now', that is only a good thing...
