About her
Hi, its been a long time since altering my profile, so much has happened in the last few years. Have just spent a month in Spain and surprisingly I heard a Cuckoo out there, here was me thinking they were indiginous to G.B.! but hearing the blackbirds out there reminded me of home. Living close to woodland allows me the opportunity of listening and watching these beautiful creatures. (just a little more insight to my character) Caring, loyal and trustworthy, happy go lucky with a good sense of humour, I lost my husband in October 2008 so I am now hoping to meet another special person to help me look forward and enjoy life together. I love gardening, country walks, animals, reading, pub meals or a nice evening in with a glass of wine really the simple things in life, but I need a like minded person to share these with, someone who is caring and considerate, fairly intelligent and fun to be with to enjoy hopefully a good many years yet. I was fortunate to meet and marry a man who was so special to me, but life has been cruel to take that away; but I may be lucky again to meet someone who perhaps has been in the same situation, as we can understand what each other has gone through, (to appreciate the contemplative times one takes, as it can hit you at any time) - its a case of sink or swim in this world and as I am a Piscean I intend to make the most of it and swim all the way, although one can flounder on the banks at times. Used to be very sporty- netball, etc at school, would like to include certain activities today like badminton, bowling and would love to start cycling again even horse-riding!! I can spend hours in the garden, love anything to do with nature,and not adverse to d.i.y (its a case of having to get stuck in without a partner!) Moved house 4 years ago and the garden is nearing completion as I started from scratch - one doesn't realise how much harder it is on your own.

I am young at heart (still think I am in my 30's) but have old fashioned values, I am so missing the company of someone who can share the 'good' things in life with me. There is only one life as people keep telling me, so please get in touch in any way you can so we can enjoy the many years ahead together even as friends and look back and say '' I'm glad we found each other'' My husband is a hard act to follow, and men have said give others a chance! I understand this but finding the person that was your life and was so in tune with, I feel it only right that I should look for the same qualities in a man - to make a partnership work, both have to be happy with the situation, and that has to be in all respects - there are so many men that I could be just really good friends with but it would be magical to find that one special person again who can be that caring, understanding soulmate. My thoughts have changed somewhat over the years and with the relationships that have not worked out, I realise that I do like my independence most times, but miss male company if only for the 'walks', meals out, theatre and short holidays - just doing things that we both enjoy; one never knows where it may lead. Time now to contemplate on what to do next !
