In Her Own Words

About her

Last Saturday I did a wonderful 7 mile circular walk around Avebury in Wiltshire with a friend. We took a picnic including a half bottle of champagne and sat down to eat it at West Kennett Barrow, overlooking a newly created field of crop circles! I felt a real 'wow' factor - how do these patterns suddenly appear and why? It really made me think...... lifehas so many new experiences to offer! One which I've already signed up to is a charity trek in the Himalayas in 2010 - I'm so excited about it! It was on my 'to do' retirement list - I've sadly lost several friends in their 40's/50's to cancer and I thought, I really shouldn't put things off, for none of us know what's round the corner!

So, to that end, here I am, trying to think of how to introduce myself. I love life - am fortunate to have a wonderful family, true friends and a great job in healthcare which takes me all over the country and often abroad. My hobbies are in the list, but my favourite country outside the UK is currently Italy .... the scenery, culture, food and wine all make for a wonderful holiday. However, there are many countries still to visit, so I'm open minded on this.

As for age, looks, etc. - well the 'inner self' is of more importance to me. I'd love to meet my 'soul mate', someone who could also be my best friend, someone whom I could make happy and who would make me happy too. Someone who would be comfortable to integrate into my family and accept me into theirs. Someone with whom we could laugh til we cry, plan trips to the last detail, or jet off on an impulse!

About her ideal match

My ideal match isn't someone who is strikingly handsome, ludicrously wealthy or showers me with gifts and then disappears for months on end - he is a down to earth, genuine guy, who wants to find a lady with whom he can share his interests, have fun with, ideally a little romance would be acceptable, but not a totally all-consuming guy who wants to run before we can walk!

It would be great if you enjoyed socialising but also were content to spend a day on a long walk in the country/by the sea, with a nice picnic - smoked salmon, champagne, strawberries (I'll provide that), followed by a pint at a little local pub .... or maybe dinner and the theatre in London, or a round of golf (though I'd need to practise!) There's not enough room to list everything here that I'd like to share with someone, but suffice it to say that if you are a guy who enjoys a bit of culture, travel, some keep fit (walking, skiing, horse riding, etc), maybe sharing a kitchen (now that would be a challenge!), wine tasting, gardening ....... and so the list goes on, then please ignore my waffle and get in touch!

Finally, I'm a happy, uncomplicated, self sufficient single lady who's very fulfilled from the career point of view, but who would like to meet a nice gentleman in a similar sitution to look out at the horizon in the same direction.
