About him
I currently work as a self-employed mobile piano teacher travelling to 8 pupils during the week.I enjoy this occupation and hope to continue with it. My favourite activities are walking (locally), gardening, singing and attending classical concerts and operas, especially at Glyndebourne.I joined a church choir in 2009 and went on to be Acting Choir Director there from March 2011 for 3 and a half years.
I am interested in football, cricket, Wimbledon tennis and rugby union. I weigh around 10 stone and my hair is receding.
I would like to spend more time with a special person doing other activities such as visiting art galleries, gardens, theatres for plays and, in time, going on holiday together.
My favourite types of music are orchestral, choral, church music and opera. My favourite composers are Sibelius, Schubert, Mozart, Puccini, Vivaldi, Janacek and Dvorak. On a lighter note, I am very fond of the music of Enya.
I have 3 children and 11 grandchildren. I don't read as much as I would like to, except when on holiday, but would like to read more.
I am, by definition, highly-sensitive, which has as many upsides as down.

My ideal match would be an easy-going lady with similar interests to mine but also other interests that she might like to share with me. An essential quality is a good sense of humour as well as having a patient and sympathetic nature. She would not be domineering or pushy but would be a good listener. She would have a liking for classical music and be fond of outdoor activities. She may well have a sensitive nature, although this is not essential. Ideally, she would be interested in travel and may well have suggestions on places to visit. She should be loving and tactile with a warm smile. She should be comfortable with short periods of silence as well as periods of conversation.
