About her
I can be sparkling company and at other times quiet; both the casual and the formal. Have been senior-ish in my field of work so enjoy intellectual exchanges counterbalanced by silliness. I grew up by the ocean and still love being on or by the water (have a yen to go canal boating). The 'great indoors' by dining in or out at any time, chatting or reading the papers is perfect for whiling away some time. Walks, exploring antique or other markets have their appeal as well. I am competent at various sports but don't excel; they are all the better if shared.
Am a pretty down to earth and straightforward gal, affectionate and tactile. My photos are recent and I look like them as well. Home is, at last, the Thames Valley after a long time spent in SW London.
Listening to music (classical if I am working) is an essential part of my life; my taste extends from jazz, Gershwin/Cole Porter to Beatles and country and western back to pop and rock. In recent times I have discovered the fun of going to a few (non-classical) music concerts; the harmonies and depth with live music these days is amazing. Spending time with friends and family is important.

Being on a similar wavelength and having a positive outlook is a great start along with a sense of humour. But I don't want to be too prescriptive, either. Someone who is comfortable in smart or casual attire and is happy to socialise in general and not only with me; and also a man who is tactile and affectionate.
I'd like to share my pastimes but also join in his (at least in part). Am not competitive with friends or significant others and prefer to simply enjoy the time we have when together. I seek a longer term partner but do not expect to know on the first date!
