I'm a retired Bank Manager who has spent most of her life in S.Africa but returned to the UK 15 yrs.I do various voluntary work to keep myself occupied. I'm also a U3A member through which I do Scottish Country Dancing and play mah-jong. My interests are gardening, music, (all except heavy rock/metal or anything tuneless!)reading, current affairs, antiques, play bridge occasionally and adore animals. I also enjoy films & theatre, cooking & entertaning and good pub food. When it comes to holidays - I love cruising as it's an easy way for a single person to travel & meet people and the entertainment is superb. I would love to meet a cultured, intelligent, well-dressed gentleman with a good sense of humour to enjoy outings and getaways with. i’m told I look younger than my years & I certainly feel it probably due to regular exercise and healthy eating.

He must be articulate and take a pride in his appearance. It obviously makes sense that we should be on the same political footing as well as having similar interests so we can enjoy doing things together particularly with regard to TV, films, and holidays. He should be fairly gregarious, enjoy good food and wine and must love animals. i feel it's rather important for a retired bloke to have a hobby or certainly an interest that can occupy his time, eg. I can spend hours on end in my garden. A sense of humour (even of the ridiculous in this crazy world we live in today) would be a great asset. That he should be considerate & kind goes without saying and, having said all that, am I asking for the moon???
