About him
I have recently moved to the Isle of Wight into a lovely house that is semi rural and a 10 minute stroll to the beach. So pleased to be here now.
Well I heard this on Classic Fm (where else I suppose). I am a relaxed confident (not arrogant) who enjoys most things in life. Eat good food and enjoys road running a little but more so now cycling which is good for fitness and is a great de-stress.
I like to stay strong and fit although this comes and goes during the year but the basic course is good.
I had an old MG which I used to drive except when it rains but recently sold it to a guy from Munich very strange I know but Ebay is a wonderful selling tool. Miss the old thing so I may look to get another should I find a happy willing passenger.

One of my great life experiences was on a business trip to Hong Kong and beyond I woke up on the plane and having sat up decided to open the window shutter. There in front of my was Everest about 10 miles away and a few thousand feet below then spending the next 10 minutes just spell bound watch the great moutain slowly slip passed. An experience never expected when boarding the plane the previous night.
I'm a very practical person managing most if not all the work needed from time to time on my house. An example is recently decided to take down 6 large Leylandi trees (35 to 40 foot tall) from my front garden. It took 4 weekends but now they are all at ground level so it shows it just takes thought and some hard work to achieve what looked like an impossible job.
I retired almost 2 years ago and was very lucky to get the opportunity to do so and after 40 years in the City the change has been fantastic. No more commuting.
Quite a good cook although I need more practice as cooking for one is never much fun although not a wine buff so will need help in that department.
About his ideal match
A person who is genuine and comfortable with themselves. Someone who is able to hold a good conversation on life in general. A lady that likes good food to enable me to get back my culinary skills which have waned as cooking for one isn't a great motivator to great cooking.
Someone who likes pets, cats if possible, but a well trained dog is good.
If you enjoy walking be it to a local country pub or more adventurous but that doesn't involve sleeping in a tent :)
Would be lovely to meet a friend and solemate all rolled into one.
