About him
Now a divorced Dad, with a son who I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to raise since he was born, well the first 7 or so years as his primary carer. Spent my early years in New Zealand, yes have a slight accent even after 25 odd years here in the UK.
I have a fond affection with the outdoors, whether it be just a walk, enjoy cycling (which time seems to be against me doing too much of at the moment, usually Mountain Biking) and slightly longer wanders through the country side when time permits.
The other side of me doesn't mind a bit of arts,culture whether it be a gallery, theatre, buildings whether they be old or new or just exploring a village in the middle of the Sardanian country side for example. My adventurous spirit which I once had seems to have gone into hibernation in recent years, I am keen to rekindle it. Feel I have an open mind and am willing to attempt new experiences and quite willing to be pushed beyond my comfort zone and able to share in somebody else's past times even though they may be different to my own.
Don't mind dressing up for the right occasion, dinner suit, black Tie etc, equally comfortable in a business suit right through to jeans or shorts or anything in between depending on the situation and event. Can do nights in, in front of a good DVD or enjoying a home cooked meal, nights out, fine dining and good wine, theatre, the arts or anything else, as long as there is good company and pleasant conversation. It would be great if I had a similair spirited person to share all these things with.
I like to think that I am honest and sincere and appreciate people who treat others how they would like to be treated.

What would be my ideal match be?
Not really into a box ticking exercise or should I be? usually its that chemistry that exists between people which seems to matter most.
I am just looking for that special somebody out there to share my world and me theirs, allowing us to be who we are, have somebody to share life's up's and down's, somebody to laugh with, cry with and somebody who knows you well enough to say nothing but you know is there for you by there very presence.
I know we are not perfect, we have failings, but it is what makes us what we are, human! In the end it depends on what you want from the relationship, what you will put in and how hard you are willing to make it work , and that's everyday for the rest of your life, hopefully many of us have come to this point in our lives a lot wiser. Being able to converse usually is a good place to start, as is being honest and a sense of humour.
