About her
Life is good, but I would like to share the fun with someone. I have two grown up children who are making their own way in the world, which is as it should be, but I still love spending time with them. I retired from teaching Primary school, a job I loved, but found the ever changing school systems a complete drag. I then studied horticulture for three years, which was great fun and extremely interesting. Strange to be a student instead of the teacher. It gives you a new perspective and I am still friends with my first tutor. At the moment I am studing Classical Greek, which is fun, hard and certainly keeps the brain cells ative.
I used to play tennis and go horse riding, but the time spent bringing up my children and the many hours spent on teaching over the years, has meant that those pleasures were rarely indulged in. Now I think that my ability to bounce when falling off a horse has diminished considerably. My interests are anything to do with horticulture and gardening, music ( from Faure to Foo Fighters), walking in the countryside and by the sea, travelling in this country and abroad, ( fancy some road trips), anything to do with science and history, volunteering, theatre, concerts, opera, galleries, museums, eating out, cooking for friends, visiting historical sites, being in the sunshine and waking up in the morning and saying, 'Where shall I go today?' The joy of not having to work for my living still amazes and delights me and should not be wasted.
