I appreciate the simple things in life. Happy at parties, roughing it or living it up in luxury, in the pub or restaurant or just at home.
I love, love.... films, live music, good friends, good food, good beer, good wine, a great whisky, good women! (and that is said in a respectful manner), my scruffy hounds (sadly no longer) , New York and London, hot places, cold places (snow), simplicity, Sunday papers, coffee, fry ups, chopping wood, forests, beaches, photography, gadgets, books, open fires on winter's evenings with a special person, adventure!, sleeping under the stars, camp fires....to name a few! and a few I can't name!
I am deeply loyal and have some of the greatest friends. I am from a big family, I have 3 brothers and a sister (and they are amazing) - I'm the baby!! It's a big family and I can't keep up with birthdays!
I'm afraid I really don't like...mediocrity, greed, selfishness, rudeness or disrespect and cruelty to anything or anyone.
I like to make people feel special and help people whenever they need it. I really like to talk about love, life and all things deep but also be silly and have a good old laugh!! Still a kid at heart but with a deep down commitment to honesty and integrity and doing the right thing by people.
A life changing summer in New York a few years ago, made me determined to live life to the full - no time for hanging about.
I was very successful in a career that I was passionate about - recently retired and enjoying lots of travel and just a little consultancy work. I'm enjoying the freedom and I'd like to share it. I am more active now than ever!
I am creative and spontaneous to make chances to spend time with someone special - I won't be a stranger but certainly won't be one to crowd you. I believe in connection, warmth and passion both mentally and physically.

A kind, generous, gentle woman is essential who smiles and has a warmth that makes you feel at home. It is important that a partner is my equal in life - I don't mean in earnings or status but someone who will stand very much with me and not in the shadows. A person who knows who they are and is confident, has their own life and independance but at the same time is not hardened by life.
