I am outgoing, bright, fun-loving (and modest!), and looking for a kind, caring and honest gentleman to share good times with.
I'm very sociable and have a great friendship group ... but I'm looking for something more. It's always good to meet new people and make new friends but even better if theres that magic spark!
I love to explore all the wonderous things the UK has to offer - from the countryside in Surrey; RHS, NT, Hampton Court, Kew, to the wilds of the west coast of Scotland and everything in between.
I enjoy living so close to London where I have access to all the culture and arts that our amazing capital has to offer.
During the pandemic I discovered Netflix and Spotify - not sure how I hadn't found them before!
Reading has always been a passion - my Kindle is always close by.
I enjoy cooking, but who doesn't love to be spoiled with a nice meal out and some great conversation? Speaking of food, my Scottish herritage dictates that there is always a yummy cake in the tin!
I enjoy spending oodles of time in my gardens.
I'm very comfortable messing about in boats - most recently I became quite acomplished as a narrowboat helm on a friend's boat, and in a previous life I competed internationally in sailing.
I have four grown up children who are out in the world doing great things. I am very proud of them. I also have three grandchildren with another on the way (but I am definetey not ready for the rocking chair and knitting just yet).

Fiona has been my landlady and friend for a year now. In that time we've gotten know each other very well, and a big reason for that is because she's an exceptional listener and a none too shabby talker!
Fiona has that all too rare quality of genuine curiosity, I've always marveled at it. She takes an interest in everyone and almost everything. She's great fun to have a conversation with, you'll certainly never be bored!
Fiona is also a big softie. She will go to the ends of the earth for her friends and her family. She has helped me out of a spot of bother or two, and her many lodgers through the years would no doubt say the same. She's got a big heart and genuinely cares about all the people in her life. It's a lovely quality.
Fiona is also as sharp as a tack, she can keep up with the best of them.
And I can't let this pass without mentioning Fiona's famous fruit cake. She abides by Scottish tradition and so there's always one in the tin. Yum yum!
