About him
As we all say, it's hard to describe yourself ... I enjoy classical music, country and coastal walks, playing bridge, watching football (not avidly), and reading; more of a cat person than a dog person, and quite tactile. More at ease one-to-one than in a big crowd. Not hugely sporty, but I keep fit by running and walking, prefer enjoying the countryside to being stuck in a gym, and have an oldish sports car for fun and extra sun (so Mr Toad rather than frog?). I see myself as positive though realistic; to the optimist the glass is half full, to the pessimist it's half empty, to the chemical engineer the glass is twice as big as it really needs to be! (Someone commented that I'd missed the point; the glass is refillable!) And in some small way I still want to make the world a better place. Of course I have plenty of flaws and I'm sure you would soon become aware of them! Currently based in Hertfordshire but grew up on the South Coast.

I'd like to meet someone to talk together and laugh together with, hopefully who shares at least one of my interests - more would be even better! A trouble shared is a trouble halved, but a pleasure shared is a pleasure doubled. But in the end, only meeting someone shows whether you have that X factor. My ideal would be to meet someone who I love, respect and accept as they are, and who does the same for me; best friends as well as loving partners.
