About her
I am a happy person who enjoys life with all its ups and downs, I miss the companionship of a like minded person to share all the usual(and to some boring!) things like walking along the coast paths and then lunch in a pub with a log fire in winter, the beach when its raining and windy. I love my grandchildren and hope they will all have happy memories of a grandma who was happy to play with them (and spoil them!). I am loyal, trustworthy, a good listener and I hope a good friend. I can be quite shy sometimes, I tend to take a back seat if I go to a party (which doesn't happen often these days, thank goodness) and would never be the first on the dance floor (again, if I went dancing!!). I do voluntary work, as my working life was spent in the charity field and am very much a people person on a one to one basis. If I was lucky enough to find a friend, then I would appreciate that 'me' time is important to everyone, and would not wish to encroach on that. I love hot climates, Turkey especially, and Greece, though the days of soaking up the midday sun are gone! There is so much of the UK that I would love to explore, but not on my own, I would need to have someone to laugh with, a sense of humour is so important! Anyway, we shall see. If I was 18 and asked about my ideal man, I would probably say tall dark and handsome, but being 74 I am saying as tall or taller than me, dark or fair, looks not important, but kind eyes are a must! He must also be kind, honest, solvent, physically fit to enjoy walking and with a good sense of humour. I would also prefer a friend who drives and has a car, as I love being a passenger! It would also be a bonus if my 'friend' would sometimes be a grandad to my grandchildren, and be a role model for them, as my grandchildren are important to me. There is so much I still want to do, and places I would love to visit, but this would be so much more enjoyable with a companion. Oh well, time will tell!
