About her
I am passionate about nature, in particular I enjoy gardening, birdwatching and my allotment patch. To relax, I will spend an hour or two at my allotment, or swimming (most days) and occasionally cycling. I started to attend yoga classes recently and I feel the subsequent strengthening of muscles and calming, meditative aspects have been very beneficial. I aim to live life to the full and make the most of every day. I don't take myself too seriously and can see humour in many things (although it is more of a struggle in these current times). Travel is something I would like to do more of, especially revisiting Poland, Australia or South Africa. I visited Iceland with my daughter in 2018 but still did not manage to see the Northern Lights, although I did see dolphins and whales, as compensation. I also spent a few days in the Channel Islands, taking a very slow ferry from Portsmouth over to St Peter's Port in Guernsey. It was lovely exploring the island, which I would love to revisit with a companion.
I am open to forming new friendships where I can relax and chat about everything and nothing, laugh at your jokes and join you in some of your favourite activities. I am comfortable in my own space and appreciate the life I have, but hope that I may still find a close friend, companion and more. Why not message me to start a conversation? About her ideal match
Ideally someone who enjoys being outdoors, eating out and going for walks in the countryside or beside the sea, who likes to keep moderately fit and eat healthily, has a number of interests and is comfortable conversing with women. "In touch with your feminine side" is an apt expression to describe you. Providing a sympathetic ear and a shoulder to cry on when needed should not be a chore. Generosity and laughter are also qualities I like in a male companion. Ideally you will be happy to explore new places, taking an interest in the people and culture and trying to integrate rather than be a tourist. I don't like lying around on beaches in the sun so if that is your ideal way to relax on holiday I will probably go off exploring the local villages and take day trips! Travelling to see the Northern Lights is a dream I (still) have, having failed in 2018. I would appreciate a man who has a background in playing music, singing or a love of classical music/going to live concerts (when we are allowed).
It is almost impossible to try and describe the ideal characteristics of a future partner, when we all know it is rarely that prescriptive. If there is a connection when we speak and meet up, then that is the first barrier removed. The rest will follow if there is a mutual interest and hopefully a physical and intellectual attraction.
My deal breakers are smoking and full beards (although light stubble might be tolerated :-) ).
