I'm a bit unconventional - huge zest for life, and very high energy. Passionate about food and fitness - hence my choice of career as clinical nutritionist. Numerous other passions and enthusiasms too, especially music; also theatre, art, film, and books.
I love entertaining, and adore cooking - even just for me (why not?) - and having family or friends over is always a great pleasure. Equally enjoy eating out, trying new restaurants. Although not particularly knowledgeable on the subject, I do enjoy good wines, and especially champagne (but not Prosecco).
An avid reader, enjoy my own company, but a charming, funny companion would be a huge bonus. Love music (eclectic taste), theatre, films (in the cinema, not at home), art galleries, and a whole lot more…
I've always loved mounains (lived in Colorado for 17 years)... Discovered the joys of trekking at altitude: Machu Picchu a few years ago, and eagerly await the opportunity for a similar challenge.
I've been on my own far too long, and it's now time to become part of a couple again. I'm a good listener, an incurable romantic, though I would like to establish a friendship first - and see where it leads...

Pointless being precise or prescriptive - so much depends on a certain je ne sais quoi (chemistry? that's too much of a cliche)... some indefinable quality which either causes a spark, a tingle, a frisson - or not. The ability to laugh easily rates high - also someone who shares (or at least appreciates) my sometimes quirky, sometimes politically incorrect humour. I admire a man who is passionately involved in his career (as I am) and his interests, has an enquiring mind, and thrives on vigorous conversation over a wide range of topics.
It would be great to find a companion as committed to physical fitness as I am, and who might enjoy trekking on some far-flung hills with me... or even hiking closer to home for the time being.
Kindness is a given... and if he truly adores good food, and enjoys books, art, theatre, music - well, we could be on to something. Perhaps he'll even encourage me to broaden my horizons, which would be most welcome.
