About her
Although born in the UK I have recently returned from 34 years in Canada where I worked in Human Resources management. Having remained in close contact with school friends through the years and aware of what is available in Northern England in terms of lifestyle (and, of course, the friendly and outgoing northern personality), I decided to retire to Yorkshire.
I bought a house on the edge of the moors near Huddersfield and enjoy walking my dog without having to drive anywhere. I am busy familiarizing myself with what is available around Manchester and Huddersfield in terms of walks, cultural events, pubs and restaurants.
I am quite fit and enjoy walking and run at the gym (although not fanatic).
I think I have eclectic tastes and enjoy all types of music, most food and love to travel. I go to India once or twice a year where I hope to build a small home this summer. My only daughter is at university in Paris and also plans on remaining in Europe. She is somewhat following in my footsteps as I lived in Paris for many years and am bilingual. We are both enjoying getting to know our relatively new home.
