About him
My friends and family say lots of nice things about me, so I blush and forget what they have said, which is then a shame when one comes to complete something like this - and then I still have to pay them!
I have a zest for life - I love to be busy mentally and physically, but I am seeking someone who is similar, and will match my traits!
I like to dress nicely to go to functions, and yet be able to swap the glad rags for the jeans to go for a muddy walk.
I love spending time with my family - and extended family.

I enjoy intelligent company for good conversations (which doesn't mean a degree is required!), as well as being able to be active, and someone who knows the value of relaxing together. Mostly, I can be seen with a twinkle in my eye, and a sense of mischief that endeavours that whoever I am with can be smiling or laughing for as much of the time as possible ;-)
I am extremely loyal and chivalrous. I believe in treating everyone as I would like to be treated, which includes being respectful and honest. I also do sometimes put my foot in it - never intentionally, and I am swift to apologise if I suspect I may have caused offence!
Amongst my many failures include an inability to recognise people and an embarrassing ability to forget people's names at important moments!

I have taken up playing the bagpipes, but progress is slow.
So slow, that I have yet to get any music/ instrument or lessons - so you are safe!

If you haven't been bored to date, then here is where I put you off! You will need a good sense of humour (if only to tolerate my "jokes"!), and be able to hold intelligent conversations. You will like to dress up for special occasions - and be happy in jeans and getting muddy (maybe not at the same time as being in the glad rags though!).
Most of all, you will want to spend quality time together, whether on a short break, or just with a glass of wine and some relaxing music or a "good" film in the evening.
