About her
I have been widowed for nearly 5 years and I feel it is time to move on in life and find a partner to expand our horizons together. I wish to find a relationship with an intelligent person with a romantic outlook and who knows where it will lead. He would have to have a good sense of humour/fun. I like warm Autumn/Mediterranean colours, including Red...... I will leave that to your imagination! I enjoy Music - Classical, Jazz and 60/70s Pop as well as traditional/folk music .
I am a Nurse/Midwife by profession but have worked for a number of years with IBM South Africa in Services Management, (managing internal service contracts, as well as 'fixing internal business problems'). I have been told I have a likeable personality with a very sociable disposition. I have lots of enthusiasm and energy with a great sense of humour.
Now that I am retired I would like to have some fun!....(. you can make your own interpretation of that!). I used to dance (ballroom/jive/rock), maybe I can have a chance to start again and heaven knows I might even take up golf. (all I need is someone to teach me)... Many years ago, I used to date a guy who was into sailing, maybe that is something else to consider. I go to gym 2/3 times per week and I enjoy lawn bowls. Do a fair amount of walking. I belong to the National Trust and visit interesting places. I also belong to U3A and get involved in some activities.
I enjoy traveling to new and interesting places, have recently returned from Peru. I enjoyed exploring the history of the Incas. Since I am retired, I wear more casual clothes (no longer have the need for business attire), but I still like to 'dress up' and according to my friends, I can still 'polish up good'. T shirts and jeans are coming more to the fore in my wardrobe. I even dragged out the old walking boots, so who knows what is in store (ever the optimist)..
