About him
People have said in the past that I have hidden treasures .At first meeting I am not immediately the person to grab anyone's attention, but I have been described as someone who gains respect when people get to know me. It is true that I am somewhat independent and fairly retiring
and quietly spoken. In part this is because I detest arrogance ,the loud mouthed and the braggart.I don't even feel comfortable with writing this profile! I prefer to keep my aces up my sleeve. And yes, while on the subject of dislikes I can not stand the present obsession with celebratyism (I doubt there is really such a word ,but I hope you know what I mean) and excessive materialism .
More positively and despite earlier comments I do have a positive view on life,I see myself as honest, flexible ,loyal to friends ,like to have a wide range of interests ,well organised.,though hopefully not too rigid.I see warmth as probably the greatest attribute in relationships .Politically,I am left of centre and although I list myself as Christian from background I am not really practising.
As active hobbies I enjoy running,gardening ,music of most types ,but preferably classical,reading (mainly novels),Latin literature,gardening,playing the piano,watching football,walking.....I could go on....
While all tthe above is valid ,like everyone my activities have been very curtailed in the past 18 monhs due to Covid.Now that running races have started up again (eg Bristol 10km) I look forward to taking part again.I acted as Appropriate Adult for the justice system before the pandemic, but this came to a sudden end and I do not think I am likely to resume this.
I admit I have been very cautious during the pandemic but as I am somewhat introvert, i have not found periods of isolation as difficult as some.Only recently become a member after a long gap.
