About her
If you seek a calm ,enthusiastic ,well balanced ( recently won a milk crate climbing competition) lass who loves passion but not drama & you adore the outdoors and experiencing / exploring all facets of life ... we will at least get along. Chemistry is less predictable. Love means different things to different people but I rate respect as a crucial element.
Not keen on: egos , people who talk about how much alchohol was consumed, folk who talk about little else than themselves and reality tv/soaps ( confession: did watch the apprentice!).
I should clarify dress sense. I chose 'bush' as have been doing a lot of that recently but I am unlikely to turn up to a first date dressed like Crocodile Dundee (Dita Von Teese is equally unlikely) . Some describe their 'style' as immaculate, trendy, scruffy, etc. Mine is 'adaptable'.
I do a fair amount of public speaking and sit on the local Eco- group (promotes community action in the village). I love learning so any excuse for a course: Clay oven, skin/butcher a deer, willow weaving , tree identification ,sewing machine, sushi making, fly fishing, eukelele, waterproof concrete ( long story).
I make jams,chutneys & bread, do experimental cooking and this year grew potatoes , onions and beetroot (a constant battle with rabbits)
Exploring countryside, historical buildings/ gardens , woodland - alone or with partner or friends is a joy .
Sports : will give most a go but skiing,yoga, gym , cycling and countryside walks figure regularly .
Culture: I enjoy live performances - stand up comedy, classical concerts , opera (not too much of that) & dance from hip hop to ballet. Like art house/ short films too.
I like the contrast between wild camping (especially in woodland) and a luxury hotel stay - but as I get older comfort often wins if there is a choice
I wouldn't say I was particularly well travelled but 10 European country's, South Africa, Canada and USA have figured. I love the British Isles and there are lots of places here I would like to visit.
About her ideal match
My ideal fella - well there isn't an ideal. It is not good to be overly prescriptive. But as a general outline:
A practical, creative yet organised manly fellow , happy disposition , who is content with who he is yet realises that life with a partner has extra dimensions (not just intimacy) & that personal growth is one important key to enjoying life ... or anything close to that would definitely capture my attention.
I seem to get on best with 'adventurous yet careful' types ... most of my friends are self employed/ business & up for trying new things but I would not describe any as reckless.
I do like a gentleman who appreciates all the differences between the sexes and whilst may occasionally be perplexed by some of these ... knows and likes feminine energy and having his masculinity valued. I admire a man who is calm in all situations yet knows how to put his foot down yet also sometimes just be silly! Someone who enjoys (& pursues) learning in all its guises and treats everyone with respect.... thus engendering same.... would definitely be a plus
Good conversation and shared silence are equally important .
If a person has read (& grasped!) Eckhart or similar I'd be impressed!
Gosh I've done quite well at being prescriptive haven't I? I like to think I have an open mind but if you want a sailing partner - that's probably not me ( sea sickness on anything other than a short ferry ride or own dinghy).
But chemistry comes from who knows where and why one fancies one person and not another can be a mystery . Mix chemistry with an overall compatibility and WOW!
