I believe that I am generally regarded as fairly easy going; I rarely fall out with anyone and try to take an interest in what others have to say. I have worked in IT since 1989; prior to that I was a school teacher. My interests, when I have time for them include sailing, walking, tennis, ski-ing and cycling; I belong to a gym' (but I haven't been lately!). I am a trustee for a charity that supplies aid and organises an annual work project in Eastern Europe. I could retire now but I have no plan to do so. When I cease full-time employment in IT I anticipate that I will get involved in the voluntary sector, or possibly in education.
I attended an independent sector boarding school from 10 -18. I trained to teach and subsequently completed a degree with the Open University.
I work in IT testing software; technical rather than managerial
My natural inclination is Tory, although I tend to be a 'floating voter' and I have sometimes registered a protest vote for a 'green' party or (slightly shamefully) for UKIP to indicate concern over the EU. I hold politicians (untypical) in reasonably high regard and may be swayed by the leader of a party.
I attend a 'middle of the road' Anglican church; for many years I was a leader at an Christian outdoor pursuits camp, although my evangelical links are less strong in recent years. I do not envisage myself having a relationship with anyone who does not have a Christian basis to their life.

I would like to meet someone who shares my sense of humour, enjoys being active outdoors and has an interest in spending time on constructive projects that provide benefit to others. I enjoy music, theatre, cinema, holidays... but I would not want these to occupy the main place in my list of priorities.
