About her
I have been single since 2000. I really didn't feel I had enough time to devote to a new relationship whilst having the responsibility for bringing up a young family. Now they are all 18 + and it is 'time for me'. I live in Central London which I love for it's convenience to everything.
If I had to describe my best and worst bits, I'd start with the best (naturally) and hope that these would distract you from my worst! I'm independent and hardworking and always optimistic about life - every day is a blessing!
My friends describe me as kind and caring and are always trying to get me to 'do more things for me'. This is something I have decided to do by joining FM Romance! I have a very busy working life which I enjoy. I am aware that I may be filling in my free time with extra work and am therefore consciously trying to stop doing this by broadening my horizons by taking up old hobbies and seeking out new ones. I have recently taken up yoga and go several times a week. I love the blend of physical and mental exercise it involves!
I also enjoy walking our dog Benjy who is a gorgeous, friendly Maltese...and if I'm feeling in need of company, he's always there with a huge welcome! I love to read and often have several books on the go at once - especially other peoples' recommendations.
Although a stones throw from the centre of London, I live near a canal and many parks so I get out on my bike as much as possible, go running when I can and am lucky enough to be able to commute to work by bike.
I enjoy travelling but haven't been to as many places as I'd like to - yet - and have a long list of places I'd love to go to.... There have been a few years when my two youngest preferred 'to do their own thing' holiday-wise but I didn't want to go away and leave them 'home alone'. Now they are all 18+, I feel the urge to explore the places on my list....

I am looking for a connection with someone otherwise there is really very little point in this....hobbies and past-times can be pursued with friends or even alone, social events can also be attended solo...but life, would be so much richer with a hand to hold, an opinion to share and the support, friendship and love (?) of another person ....
I don't mind what you do for a living, how much money you earn, what car you drive or how big your house is. I don't care how much 'baggage' you have....who doesn't have some? It makes us the unique people we are! The essential ingredient is a little spark of chemistry...that would indeed be amazing to find!! I am optimistic....
