About her
in terms of me - I am a happy and chatty person who also needs space to be by myself and my thoughts. An ex social worker, and reasonably well travelled, having been to Iran, South America, the African continent etc. I love hill walking, (used to climb), traveling, reading, words and language, theatre, concerts, opera, country living, gardening, thai chi, spending time with my family, travel, science, current affairs, radio 4, and radio 3. Having grown up in London, I consider myself to be cosmopolitan; I guess one of the highlights of my year would have to be going to the Edinburgh international festival, and book festival. Oh and I also love Pink Floyd and Radiohead.
In terms of my thoughts on being on this site - well I don't know if I will finally meet someone to warm my heart and join me for a better, happier journey, but I know I can't stop looking. I don't know if the world is going to run forever, but I know I am not going to be around forever. I also don't know what life holds for me tomorrow, but I do know that I can only get older, and I would feel more complete with someone to get old with, someone to remember the days with, and to grow with.

in terms of what I am looking for - someone with a positive outlook on life, who likes to be active, interested in everything, be strong and independent, practical and thoughtful. A soul mate to share life, laughter and lazy days, a fellow seeker of knowledge, culture, art, a traveling companion to exotic and not so exotic lands. Someone who is tactile and cuddly; someone to have an interesting conversation with. You see, its not having someone to exchange ideas, thoughts, and tender moments with, that I miss such a lot. Someone to have lazy breakfasts with; candlelit dinners; movie nights with popcorn, holding hands on a deserted beach. Equally, just discussing how each others day went, what the weather is doing, how busy the shops were, the mundane is as important as the exotic.
