About him
I have an optimistic outlook on life and am a faithful and reliable sort of person. I have a warm and loving nature and like to think the best of everyone. I enjoy walking in the countryside with my dog and taking in the peaceful surroundings. Two years ago, my dog sadly had to be put to sleep at the age of eleven and left a huge whole in my life. Due to work commitments I wasn't able to get another. Last year I decided to stop work and now have a lovely 15 month old Border Collie teenager. Lots of walks are now happening again.
I have recently downsized from a 5 bed detached to a narrowboat. Yes, this is my permanent home. If you fancy a completely different, relaxing lifestyle, come and join me as I cruise the network. 4mph is a lovely pace, away from the mad crowd. Not always cruising, often in a marina over the winter months due to canal stoppages for maintenance.
I enjoy many types of music and play the organ and piano but, of course , I can't now on the narrowboat. Before I retired, I ran many businesses and prior to that I was a teacher of Music and Science.
I am looking for one special, genuine person to share the rest of my life with. Are you out there?
My ideal retirement is here, living on a narrowboat with my soulmate, cruising the canals through beautiful, peaceful countryside close to nature or moored in a marina from time to time. Eventually moving off the water to live in the countryside perhaps a small holding.
