About her
I was born in India and returned to the UK in 1952. Lived in The Netherlands for 18 years of my married life and my husband was British. Have travelled fairly extensively in my life but still keen to explore parts of the UK and the Continent though my wish is to see New Zealand and the Galapagos Islands and how lovely it would be to find a similar-minded companion who would share the delights of that country and the Islands with me.
I have been a widow for nearly 10 years.
I greatly enjoy music and have recently taken up the ukulele and joined a group. I tend to err on the classics but enjoy Trad Jazz, Folk and some Pop. For me a perfect evening is to be at home listening to perhaps mood music and at the same time enjoying a good glass of wine.
I enjoy good food and lively conversation and it gives me great pleasure to cook for others and see their contented looks. I enjoy the simple of pleasures of life like walking along a river or the beach and watching the various water activities, as I do computing and browsing the internet!
Sportswise, I used to play competitive tennis but nowadays prefer to watch the Professionals do the work! Having enjoyed the company of two sporty brothers and still following two equally sporty sons, I enjoy watching most sports but Rugby, Rowing and Football and Gymnastics are my favourites. The Olympics in 2012, I just loved.
Each of us though is very different from the other and as we get older we not only enjoy the companionship of that other person but we like our space too but I hope there is someone out there who would be happy to meet me.

I am looking for a man who is loyal, trustworthy, patient and kind. He must be a good listener and above all have a wicked sense of humour. I am looking for someone with similar interests and someone who is companionable and fun. Someone I can cuddle up to and hold hands with.
