About him
Most friends enjoy my company, although it does take a little time for me to warm up to new faces. I am busy in my profession and I play hard when I'm on the tennis court. I enjoy travelling and would like to visit the two or three US states I haven't visited yet. I come home to England quite regularly, usually once a year and stay for up to a couple of months and I usually trip into Europe while I'm there. I have many friends in the West Country and usually rent somewhere to stay in that area. I do visit my friends in and around London and prefer to drive "home" late at night when the traffic is light. I enjoy good food and wine, and have a working knowledge of both, so I'm quite useful in the kitchen. I'd say I'm faithful to my friends and try to support them when they ask. My outlook on life is positive yet questioning, and I enjoy a challenge. I am definitely a bit of a romantic preferring dinner and a movie or theatre, or a relaxing evening at home listening to good music (Classicfm, of course) with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand or Rhone Valley wines from France - and a couch.

Can you find the time to spend a couple of months a year in Florida as my guest and accept me as yours in England for a the same amount of time? I'd like to meet someone with similar values to mine. I'm looking for the sort of relationship that becomes exciting and a passion for both of us. She must be honest and caring, have a positive outlook, be able to laugh and most importantly be an independent soul. Understanding and acting upon what each of us want in life is paramount. I live in beautiful, sunny and warm Southwest Florida and would very much like her to visit me for as much time as she legally can and wants to, and I visit her in exchange. That would give us both dependence and independence, anticipation and excitement, and freedom combined with a warm and close sense of belonging. I am still very active in life - working here in Florida and playing tennis 2 or 3 times a week. I want to travel more and look forward to her company on trips - where she wants to go, so might I. Hopefully, she enjoys walks on the beach, tennis, sunshine, good restaurants - but also evenings at home (I don't have a fireplace!) cooking new recipes and enjoying each other's company. Deal breakers - what a difficult question - smoking, dishonesty, impoliteness and dogs are top of my list. I hope we can "click" in initial communications and phone conversations; I am at home in Florida now and plan to visit England and France in May 2024.
