About him
I'm a tactile, warm hearted, honest and caring professional man with a young and fun outlook on life - articulate and intelligent with a passion for knowledge and I love things that make me think and learn.
Tying not to take myself too seriously I like to see the funny side of things. My friends say I have a dry and slightly warped sense of humour and I enjoy witty banter.
My dress sense is mainly conservative, but I enjoy dressing for the occasion. Smart casual for relaxing. My DJ gets the occasional airing but not as much as I'd like.
My biggest interest has got to be music, with very eclectic tastes. In the car I often listen to Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, John Barry, Eva Cassidy, Coldplay and excerpts from Les Mis and Moulin Rouge along with some big band (and I mean BIG band) pieces.
I play a baritone to fairly average standard, and over the years, have played and taught various instruments - mainly to youngsters.
I often have the radio playing in the background - Scala is my station of choice at the moment. Radio 4 also pops up when it's a good panel game such as Just a Minute. I find their wit and ability to think on their feet quite amazing. I also like to watch comedy panel games on television.
I can cook to a reasonable standard; a good Sunday roast with trimmings, and I enjoy baking cakes but I also enjoy eating out too.
Socially I love going to the theatre and the ballet and I also have to admit to being an avid people watcher. People are so fascinating to observe.
I'm active in a variety of ways and so if you're a couch potato, we are not a match. However, saying that, I'm not much into sport (neither playing nor watching), but I do keep fit in a variety of ways, and until recently I enjoyed roller booting.
