About him
I'm an Essex native but would happily consider relocating.
I am now fully retired after 40+ years in hands-on buildings maintenance; I was self-employed and never without work. So I now fill my time with house and pet sitting for a national company, holidays and trips, both at home and aboard plus hobbies and interests that I now have more time for. I'd love to travel more than I do, preferably with a like minded companion.
I’ve lived alone for a few years and do all my own pink jobs as well as the blue ones. I’m just as at-home in the kitchen as I am in the workshop, shed or garden.
I am fairly conservative in my dress sense but I know where my DJ and wellies are, but I seldom wear them at the same time! I like to think I am a gentleman and always open doors for ladies, walk on the outside and buy surprise gifts when the time is right.
I’m fond of cinema and theatre, especially ballet but strangely, not musicals! Love classical music, the blues and some ‘classic rock’ from previous decades. I quite like crime drama on TV but I really prefer to be socialising with friends and the members of my am-dram group.
Finally for now, I'm hoping to meet a fun lady to be amongst other things, my companion, confidant, style consultant, co-chef, co-driver and hostess. In return I offer similar, old fashioned qualities.

It would be lovely if she enjoyed banter as well as mature conversation. Also an enjoyment of, or at least a tolerance of cricket & rugby but certainly not football. These are all desirable but none are deal breakers.
