About her
As my headline suggests, I’d rather spend my time outdoors and ideally in the hills and mountains. Enjoying the journey of a long distance walk, in the last 2 years, I have completed the Thames Path, London Loop, West Highland, and North Downs Ways, all in stages. Far rather this kind of trip though than lying on a beach, but I am just as happy with a coastal walk! I am active and value my health, enjoy running, tennis and the occasional hockey match but I am not a fitness fanatic. Life’s journey has kept me in the suburbs, and I spend most of my working time in coaching roles. My previous career in travel enabled me to visit some beautiful and inspiring destinations, however I’m looking forward to adventures further afield for leisure exploring new places… New Zealand and Scandinavia are high on that list.
I am a happy, educated, honest and caring person with a lively sense of humour! I am young at heart with broad interests, and despite a fair few significant setbacks in life, an eternal optimist. I enjoy historical and cultural visits, and great conversation over a chilled bottle of Savignon Blanc or Prosecco! Whilst the great outdoors - especially in winter - are a particular love, I also enjoy occasional visits to the theatre, and Classical music is a wonderful salve in stressful times. I am down to earth but fun, casual and unpretentious in style though capable of scrubbing up when the occasion requires, however if you’re looking for a fashion conscious dolly bird, who's all about hair, nails and make up, then swipe left!
The pandemic brought my grown up sons home, and as much as I am Mum, I am also me, and am ever seeking to reclaim both my home and my time! I’ve been on my own for a few years now and it would be great to find a like-minded companion to enjoy travels and shared adventures.
