About her
Given the choice, I'd spend my time outdoors and ideally in the hills and mountains. Enjoying the journey of a long distance walk, in the last few years, I have completed various long distance trails all in stages. I have also visited Arizona and Utah's National Parks, walking into and spending a night in the Grand Canyon as well as marvelling at the wonders of Bryce, Sedona, Arches, Monument and more. Far rather this kind of trip though than lying on a beach, but I am just as happy with a coastal walk! I am active and value my health, enjoy running, tennis and Masters hockey but I am no gym bunny! Life’s journey has kept me in the suburbs, and I have managed a varied working life around bringing up my three sons. Now they are grown up, I am enjoying a new role, chapter and purpose, in the heritage sector. However retirement beckons and I’m looking forward to adventures further afield for leisure exploring new places sooner rather than later… New Zealand and Scandinavia are high on that list.
I am a happy, educated, honest and caring person with a lively sense of humour! I am young at heart with broad interests, and despite a fair few significant setbacks in life, an eternal optimist. I enjoy historical and cultural visits, and great conversation. Whilst the great outdoors are a particular draw, I also enjoy visits to the theatre, and Classical music is a wonderful salve in stressful times. I am down to earth but fun, casual and unpretentious in style though capable of scrubbing up when the occasion requires, however if you’re looking for a fashion conscious dolly bird, who's all about hair, nails and make up, then please do swipe left!
I’ve been on my own for a few years now and it would be the icing on life's cake to find a like-minded companion who is looking to enjoy the next stage life, perhaps with shared travels and adventures.
