About him
My main passions/hobbies in life include:
Music - I sing in a number of choirs, one large choral society, another a small chamber/madrigal choir and another a local operatic society. So attending rehearsals and performing in concerts takes up some part of my spare time. I have singing lessons and have passed Grade 8 Singing and Advanced Certificate singing. I also have started conducting the staff workplace choir where I work, and I would like to study choral conducting further.
Classical music - I enjoy listening to classical music on CDs. My favourite types of music are choral music, sacred music, solo vocal music (English song of the late 19th/early 20th century), baroque opera, oratorio (Bach & Handel). I like attending classical music concerts when I can.
Walking/Hillwalking - I belong to a local and a national walking club and try to get out walking in the countryside on organised walks at least 2 Saturdays a month. I also try and get some serious hillwalking done in Scotland and Wales at least once a year.
travelling - I enjoy travelling - on citybreaks in the UK and abroad, and also longer travelling trips - trekking holidays.
Socialising - I enjoy going to the cinema, theatre, meals out, going to the pub etc
Spirituality/religion- I'm interested in spirituality/religion, I attend a small traditional Anglican church when I can and I help out with the music whenever necessary.
Personality - I would say I'm quite a quiet person, rather reserved at first, but once you get to know me you'll find I have rather a wicked sense of humour. I'm quite an independent person, I enjoy my own company and space and enjoy solo travelling, but I can only take this for so long (3 days max!), but its good good to share travelling experiences with a fellow traveller. I'm also intellectual, rather academically inclined I have 2 university degrees and I enjoy having stimulating intellectual conversation.

Someone who is independent, recognises the need to have one's one space, shares the same interests (particularly music), someone who is academically inclined and enjoys intellectual conversation. Basically someone with whom I can get along with, have a good laugh, and to share life's ups and downs with whatever comes and happens.
