About him
I am a Byronic, Anglo-Catholic actor from Kent. Do not mistake my reserved and serious nature for shyness or aloofness: I have a Romantic streak and am not without a particular sense of humour. I have often been described as having the characteristics of a man from another time and place, so I may come across as being very old-fashioned.
My main interests are in literature and the arts as I believe in the importance of stories, storytelling and education. I own far too many films and books, with my favourite genres of fiction being westerns, espionage, historical literature, thrillers, science-fiction and crime/film noir. And I also believe in the importance of history, heritage, cultural identity and faith, and aspire to create work that reflects these sentiments. I hold a 2:1 BA Honours degree in English Studies and History, and although life has currently taken me elsewhere I am hopeful to do postgraduate work in either one of these two subjects in the near future.
With regards to music, my favourite classical composers include Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Gilbert and Sullivan, Tchaikovsky, and Gershwin. I also have a deep and genuine love for film music, opera and jazz, and am developing an ear for folk music as well. I am currently learning how to play the violin, and also hope to learn the saxophone and the piano in the future.
Regarding sports, I take part in fencing, and also enjoy skiing, taking long walks, and other outdoor adventure activities. I have also done Ballroom and Latin American Dancing in the past (which I would very much like to take up again), and would like to develop sailing and horse-riding skills. Personally I am just as much comfortable enjoying the country air and going on an adventure as I am attending society events and evenings out.
Finally, an intrinsic part of my personality is my religious faith: I attend church regularly and also involve myself in the services and the local youth group.

I would feel most comfortable being in a relationship with a fellow Christian (although I am friendly with most people, I do not have time for New Atheists or anti-theists), and a woman who possesses classic and traditional values.
Among the qualities that I value the most are honesty, humility, integrity, honour, patience, modesty and kindness. I am a man who is very much aware of his own shortcomings, and hope to find a fair maiden who can accept me for who I am in spite of these.
